If you have low water pressure you could have a damaged pressure regulator.  They usually last about 10 years.   They corrode and deteriorate on the inside.  This can block the flow of water into your house.  If you have water pressure that is over 80psi then the pressure regulator could be bad as well.  Sometimes when they are defective they will not reduce the pressure coming into the house.  This leaves you at a high risk of damage to your faucets or water supply lines.
